Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who's had great fame with the stories she tells of her young heartbreak. Swift's passion for music was evident in the early years of her life. From musicals for kids to performing before thousands, Swift made rapid progress. She was age 11 when she sang The Star-Spangled Banner before a Philadelphia 76ers basketball match and in the next year, she began playing guitar and began writing songs. Swift took inspiration from artists who played country music, like Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and now the Chicks to create original material that reflected the loneliness she experienced by 13 years old. When she was 13 Swift's parents sold their property in Pennsylvania and moved to Hendersonville Tennessee so she could spend more time to wooing labels from the country within the vicinity of Nashville.
